Tempo
An essential accessory for the avid live music enthusiast which enhances the music listening experience. By utilising the smart sensors within the product, it creates a personal and streamlined experience; the use of this accessory will eliminate the need for phones/wallets at events.
the problem
For festival-goers, the need to bring your phone, wallet and other necessary belongings can be lost or easily stolen at music events. As well as constantly losing battery on your phone while trying to look at the set times or just trying to find the nearest bathroom can be a massive burden on the whole music experience. The festival experience can become troublesome and irritating at times. This is where tempo streamlines the experience.
the user
Cathryn is a 22-year old university student who enjoys all types of music and particularly enjoys live indie-rock events. She often takes photos of her friends and explores nature in her free time. She has a constant bad habit of misplacing keys, phone and wallet and has had to replace her credit card 3 times in the last 2 years. At the age of 12, her father brought her to a U2 concert which started her love of live music.
the solution
the user's experience
The interaction between Tempo and the user is simple but effective. All the way from entering the festival/event to a few months after the experience, Tempo and the companion app keep the user engaged.

The application acts as a companion for tempo users. The main features of the application allow the user to change venues of the tempo (to use the device in different events), add funds to their e-wallet, and view the songs to which they reacted best at the event.
